Introduction of KPI’s emblem
KPI’s emblem connotes a systematized, academic institute image both internally and externally and demonstrates the institute’s vision to develop and study new pharmacopuncture systems. In the emblem, “K” is a designation for Korean, “P” for Pharmacopuncture and “I” is for Institute, and the colors blue, yellow, and green symbolize sky (天), land (地) and human (人), respectively. The emblem is intended to convey the ideas of harmony between humans and nature and between the visions of the past and those of the present and future, with emphasis on professionalism and friendliness.
Introduction of characters
YAGGI & CHIMMY
These characters, which are familiar and cute, were designed to be modern and contemporary so that they would be easily and comfortably accessible to a general audience. These characters, through their natural brushed lines, provide a sense of rhythm, while their costumes express tradition. Overall, these characters symbolize a meeting of tradition and modern ideas.
Dr. Yagchim & RN. Yulhyul (藥針博士 & 熱血娘子)
The characters wearing white gowns conjure up the image of Dr. Heo Jun who is familiar with Oriental medicine, tradition, acupuncture, and pharmacopuncture. With the word 藥 (medicine) carved in the hats and clothes, the characters remind us of traditional Korean medicine. The name of Dr. Yagchim means the doctor of pharmacopuncture and RN. Yulhyul means a quite enthusiastic nurse by supporting for Dr. Yagchim.
